I lost 8.75 inches in one month by eating more sugar

I lost 8.75” in a month eating more sugar 🍊

This is a vulnerable post, but I think it’s worth posting.

On january 9th, my coach @zachariah_salazar and I had a long discussion regarding my goals. 🥰 I have hit so many health and strength goals over the last 6 years that have been amazing, but I was really ready to start working on the fat loss goal. So we decided to switch things up a bit, and make fat loss the primary goal for this year. 💪 We decided it was time to go high carb, low fat and moderate to high protein. I will put up some other posts later on how trauma and stress affect the metabolic rate. 🥤🥩🍊

To be clear I increased simple carbs like juice, table sugar, maple syrup, and cut out starches significantly. 🍯 There’s a lot of confusion in the health and food industries, and a lot of influencers who speak with authority using scientific papers providing their evidence on whatever soap box they are standing on. Within this confusion SUGAR HAS GOTTEN A BAD REP.🚫

I have been measuring my body fat regularly for the last five years so the December date was just an arbitrary measurement day before the holiday season. I was likely a little fluffier after the new year as I went to several parties and just enjoyed the food. I probably got some unwanted PUFA’s and additives, but I was ok with that. 🎄

I technically started the shift on January 10th, and after the first week, I saw so many changes, I couldn’t believe it! So I measured early just to gather data. 😳🧐

Today 2/10 was the official one month 🤯 I couldn’t believe that I had lost 8.75” give or take, for sure since my last measurement day, as I said, I probably lost more because I was out of routine for the holidays.

This is why you want to work with a coach!

Most of the bad rep sugar gets is actually due to other things in the diet, and/or not getting enough nutrition in the calories being consumed 📣 #HealthJourney #FatLoss #HighCarb #LowFat #ModerateProtein #SugarMyths #NutritionMatters #FitnessGoals #Metabolism #StressManagement #BodyTransformation #InchesLost #HealthyEating #VulnerablePost #ProgressNotPerfection
